From the Founder & CEO
I’m a software developer by trade. I graduated from SAIT in Calgary, Alberta in 2009 and have been working in the field ever since. Like many of my peers, I enjoy my craft and find purpose and meaning in it. That purpose and meaning came under threat with AI and its surrounding messaging.
AI leaders like to tout their vision of a wonderful future with wild tech and extreme abundance. Except for jobs. Of course there won’t be any jobs! Certainly not for us lowly developers who exert such a heavy burden of tax on our employers, woe is them! That dystopian nightmare is what we are asked not only to swallow, but to build and support as those leaders diligently execute on their plan by using our creative efforts to make us suffer for their benefit.
Personally, I’m sick of that rhetoric and I absolutely despise that vision.
I’ve been using the Mikado Method for years and have found that it greatly improved my own productivity through a wonderful process. I also tried Copilot and other AI tools and found them to be a drain instead of a boost. I had a wild idea to bring the Mikado Method into the IDE and supercharge the productivity gains I had already experienced.
This company is a passion project to improve the world for us developers! I’m bootstrapping it from the ground up and I can’t wait to see where we get to in the future.
