Hi, my name is Alex! I’m a nerd and I’m OK with that!

I love the craft of software development - the problem solving, deep thinking, and satisfaction I feel from making awesome software. At the same time, I see a vast difference of speed between myself and AI coding tools. However, I’m not a fan of the experience of these AI software tools. They are fast, but I don’t get that deep satisfaction from being in a flow state when using agentic tools. I believe there’s a middle path, a blend between software craftsmanship and agentic speed with local models.

There’s a good reason I chose the name of Easely for my first product. I wanted to make it feel like I’m painting my code. That’s what I’m aiming for.

I also love video games. My current favourite is Factorio! In fact, it’s been my favourite for many years. I have the most hours in it compared to any other game on my Steam library. It even feels a lot like software development lol.
