Easely: Fundamentals

Accessing Easely

Easely is used via the Mikado graph presented in the tool window.

Mac: CMD + ;

Windows: CTRL + ;

Linux: CTRL + ;

This may also be done by clicking on the toolbar icon:

Navigation is performed with the left hand in a gamer-like fashion (by default) so your hands can stay in the same position as when you are typing.

Navigate up: E

Navigate down: D

Navigate left: S

Navigate right: F

Relationships are managed by the right hand, including creating and removing nodes.

New child of selected node: L

New parent of selected node: J

New sibling above selected node: I

New sibling below selected node: K

Remove selected node: DELETE

Enter edit mode or save the current edits: ENTER

Cancel and discard edited changes: ESCAPE

Mark as complete or in progress: SPACE

Mouse navigation is supported, though unrefined.

Navigation is currently performed by hovering over the nodes, which will select nodes.

Additional relationships are added by the mouse: click and drag from the parent to the child to add a secondary relationship.
