Easely: Fundamentals

Accessing Easely

Easely is used via the Mikado graph presented in the tool window.

All platforms: CTRL + ;

This may also be done by clicking on the toolbar icon:

Navigation

Navigation is performed with the left hand.

Directional Navigation

Up: E

Down: D

Left: S

Right: F

Relational Navigation

Highest child: R

Lowest child: V

Highest parent: W

Lowest parent: X

Mutations

Graph mutations are managed by the right hand.

Basic Structure Mutations

New child: L

New parent: J

New sibling above: I

New sibling below: K

Delete node: DELETE

Modify Parental Relationships

  1. Enter parental modification mode for selected node: U

  2. Navigate among nodes

  3. Add/remove selection as a parent from the originally selected node: ENTER

ESCAPE will cancel the mode and return to normal navigation.

Modify Child Relationships

  1. Enter child modification mode for selected node: O

  2. Navigate among nodes

  3. Add/remove selection as a child from the originally selected node: ENTER

ESCAPE will cancel the mode and return to normal navigation.

Managing State of Nodes

Enter edit mode: ENTER or LEFT-CLICK

Save edits: ENTER

Cancel and discard edited changes: ESCAPE

Mark as complete or in progress: SPACE
